1. Generate a report
Click Reports in the sidebar. Click New Report.
- Choose the report type (see below)
- Select the date range — start and end date
- Choose which sections to include
- Click Generate
Polier assembles the report in seconds and shows you a preview. Download as PDF or copy a share link to send to a client or consultant.
2. Report types
Three standard report types are available:
Progress Report — A week-by-week summary of work completed, issues raised and resolved, manpower totals, and any delays recorded in the daily log. Suitable for client progress meetings and regular contract administration updates.
Snag Report / Issue Report — All open issues in the selected date range, with photos, current status, assignee, and due date. Suitable for snagging walkthroughs, subcontractor follow-up meetings, and handover documentation.
Daily Log Report — Formatted daily logs for the chosen date range. Each day includes weather conditions, manpower counts, work completed, safety notes, and attached photos. Suitable for contract administration records and dispute evidence.
3. Choose what to include
On the report configuration screen, toggle individual sections on or off to control what appears in the output:
- Cover page — project name, date range, prepared by
- Issue photos — toggle off for faster, text-only reports
- Daily log photos — progress photos attached to log entries
- Summary statistics — issue counts by status, manpower averages
- Appendix — full list of all issues with complete detail
4. Share with a client
After generating a report, two sharing options appear:
Download PDF — Downloads the PDF to your device so you can send it by email, WhatsApp, or any file-sharing method you prefer.
Copy share link — Generates a read-only URL. Anyone with the link can view the report in a web browser without a Polier account. The link does not expire unless you revoke it manually.
5. Upload your company logo
Go to Organisation Settings (top-right menu, then Organisation Settings) and click Branding.
Upload your logo — PNG or SVG format, minimum 200px wide. Once uploaded, it appears automatically on the cover page and header of every exported report. No further action is needed on individual reports.
